Bread Pizza

Another quick and easy recipe! This time we are making Bread Pizza which does not require baking in oven. You can easily prepare it on a griddle or a pan/ tawa. You can also customize it completely adding vegetables of your choice and also in the proportions that you like.

I am sharing with you a recipe that we like. The best part is that we can add lot of vegetables in this pizza and minimize the quantity of cheese if you are trying to make a healthier version. You can also use whole wheat bread or any other healthy bread as per your dietary requirements.

Of course it tastes different from the regular pizza but it can be a great healthy substitute. So do give it a try!

Ingredients-

Bread Slices- 6 to 7

Tomato Ketchup- 1/2 cup

Chilli Sauce- 2 tablespoon

Green Bell Pepper- 1 cup chopped finely

Red Bell Pepper- 1 cup chopped finely

Tomatoes- 1 cup chopped finely

Onion- 3/4 cup, chopped finely

Corn- 3/4 cup (thawed)

Italian Seasoning- 1 1/2 teaspoon

Chilli flakes- 1 teaspoon

Mozzarella Cheese- 1 cup

Butter- 1 or 2 tablespoon

Salt as per taste

  • In a bowl, take half cup of tomato ketchup and add 2 tablespoon chilli sauce to it. You can add more or less of chilli sauce as per your liking. Mix it and keep it on side.
  • In a bigger bowl add 1 cup chopped green bell pepper, 1 cup chopped red bell pepper, 3/4 cup thawed corn, 1 cup of chopped tomatoes and 3/4 cup of chopped onion. Mix all vegetables.
  • Add little salt. Remember that both cheese and tomato ketchup has salt in it so add accordingly.
  • Add 1 and half teaspoon of Italian seasoning and 1 teaspoon of red chilli flakes.
  • Then add a cup of grated Mozzarella cheese and mix it all well.
  • Now heat a griddle/ tawa/ pan on low heat.
  • While the griddle is heating, take a slice of bread and spread a spoon full of tomato ketchup and chilli sauce mix on it.
  • Then evenly spread the vegetable mix on it.
  • Sprinkle some more on cheese on top if you like but it is totally optional.
  • Spread some butter on the griddle and then place the prepared bread pizza on it.
  • Cover it and cook it on very low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  • Open and check that cheese has melted and the bread is nicely toasted. Remove it in a plate and in similar way, prepare all other bread pizzas.
  • Serve them hot!
