French Toast

French Toast is a classic breakfast or brunch recipe which is easy to prepare and the best part is that you can pair it multiple options and make it taste different every time you make it. Spread some maple syrup or just dust some Cinnamon Sugar. You can also top it with some fruits like Strawberry, Blueberry or bananas. A recipe that can be altered to fit your mood or what is available at home!

For this recipe we will need-

Bread- 6-7 slices

Eggs- 3

Milk- 1/2 cup

Sugar- 1/4 cup

Cinnamon powder- 1 teaspoon

Vanilla essence- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon

Start with cracking 3 eggs in a flat based bowl or a pie dish.

Beat it light with fork for few minutes till eggs are liquidy and then beat it with a whisker for 1 or 2 minutes.

Add 1/2 cup milk.

Add 1/4 cup sugar.

Mix.

Add 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder.

Add 1 and half teaspoon Vanilla essence.

Mix.

Heat a pan/ skillet/ tawa on medium heat.

Pop in some butter and let it melt.

Dip a slice of bread in the egg mix. Don't dip for too long as we do not want it very soggy.

Cook it on the skillet from both the sides.

In the given measurements, you should be able to prepare 6 French Toast.

Remove once the toast is cooked from both sides.

I am using Texas Toast which is cut in to thicker slices but you can use regular bread or Brioche which tastes the best!

Dust it with Cinnamon sugar or pour some maple syrup/ honey or top it with chopped fresh fruits of your choice!

I am Sonali and Welcome to Sonali's Homefoods! Thank you for visiting my blog. This is my attempt to digitize my culinary experiments and also seek creative satisfaction. I am not a professional chef or a nutritionist. I enjoy cooking and often find it meditative as it takes my mind of many unnecessary issues. I look forward to sharing with you all, recipes that are tried, tested, tasted and appreciated by my family and friends. Some recipes that I learnt from my parents, some from my friends and their moms. Some I got from recipe books and some I got from internet. But I am most excited to share with you some recipes that I have developed myself. I look forward to enjoy this delicious journey with you all!
